In Memory - Rusty Askew 1956-2024

Grace It Up Prison Ministry is deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Christian brother, Rusty Askew, on July 27. Many of us had the privilege of working alongside Rusty and his wife, Gay, in numerous prison ministry events, and we are grateful for the time we spent fellowshipping and serving with him. Rusty was known for his heartfelt declarations of love, frequently reminding others that he loved them and that Jesus loved them even more. While we will greatly miss his presence and unwavering faith, we find comfort in knowing Rusty is now rejoicing with Jesus in heaven.

In this time of loss, Grace It Up is profoundly humbled and grateful for Gay and the family’s wishes. They have requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the local prison ministries, 4Given&Free and Grace It Up. 

May all glory go to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
